Insights into entrepreneurial adventures are never dull
Business is going great. Actually, better than great. Marketing Eye is finally at a point where I can say that I am immensely proud of the brand and the people who champion it. We have a large client base of companies that are thought leaders, smart, innovators and big businesses of the future. They cover every industry imaginable from technology, retail, manufacturing, health, logistics - you name it, we no doubt have a client in that area somewhere in the world.
As a seasoned entrepreneur - and I can say that now as I have been in business for 17 years, I have weathered the storm, and am stronger than ever.
I never fail to take the brunt of whatever is coming at me and now more so than ever before, I handle situations much better than when I had training wheels on.
People within the organisation who take ownership of their roles are starring in ways I am sure even they are surprised. It makes me proud to see them grow as professionals and develop in their roles and as adults.
Being an entrepreneur has been one long adventure. I have met some of the most amazing people in the world from Mandela through Jack Welch and a whole host of phenomenal people in between.
It's been rewarding both from a financial perspective and a personal development perspective. I cannot imagine working for anyone else ever again because I now know that that road is the wrong one for a person like me.
I have travelled far and wide, sometimes without sleep only to discover new things that would not have been possible if I had stayed at home.
And as many say in the this game, "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I - I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference."
It sure has. For all the hard times, there have been far many more good times. I never would be sitting where I am today without having taken the risks I have, or put myself out of my comfort zone and when ever other person was walking one way - deciding it was ok to walk the other.

01 May 2016I completely agree! Being an entrepreneur has it's ups and downs but the skills and knowledge developed and people you meet makes it all worth it!
