It's that time of year and while we are all celebrating the first day of summer, we know there is a lot to do as the year comes to an end.

I personally love giving gifts. It makes me happy to surprise people and show them that I care, or have remembered them in some way.

Everyone loves a great Christmas party, unless of course you are a little like me and you have gone to one too many already. 

The end of the year is neigh. It has come along for many of us, faster than we would have liked.

It seems, the older we get, the faster life passes us by. There really is no better reason to live life the best possible way we can.

What's not to love about Monday's? If you are anything like me, you arrive at work all bubbly ready to tackle the week ahead; refreshed and excited about what can be achieved.

The countdown is on and while we are all still enjoying the Spring Racing Carnival, there are a few large retailers who have already put together their Christmas displays and have started their Christmas marketing campaigns.

So what should you do? Do you start early because they have, or do you wait until it is closer to Christmas? Here is your retail marketing “TO DO” list to help you decide.

What is one person’s tradition may not be another’s.

It’s the 24^th December 2014, and like many families around the world, we are gathered in one place to celebrate Christmas.

While I don’t necessarily think that Christmas is a good excuse to get together with family, preferring to take the one of day of the year off the calendar and instead spending that time giving to others and serving those less fortunate – I am grateful.

My life is blessed in so many ways and enriched by those around me. I am grounded by family and friends, and always aware that there are people around me that will be there no matter what.

Today, marketing happens in real time. Anywhere. Anytime.

While one-way communication is almost dead and buried, there seems to be an influx of 'worried' retailers out there who are scurrying to put the latest 'offer' or 'promotion' in everyone's letterboxes.

Wow! I mean WOW! Did this  year really go that fast?

We are down to the pointy end of the year with only weeks only Christmas or for those who do not celebrate this occasion – to a break from a busy year.
