Think different, shake it up and drive your business to the next level starting today
In real terms, it's business critical to think differently and if you are still stuck doing the same things you've always done, and you are not evolving and innovating, your relevance in the market place will start to diminish. Disruptive companies will come in and take market share away from you without you even realising it - and then it will all be too late.
My business is constantly innovating and changing it up. I don't want to walk the same way as everyone else and do the same work day-in, day-out. Innovating and collaborating is instrumental in marketing companies staying relevant. Changing your pitch without tarnishing the integrity of your brand is imperative to moving forward in the new world. Embracing new technologies, working out best-of-breed practices and keeping education and employee development as key to putting your brands best foot forward is all part of keep relevant.
Here are some things to consider:
- Think differently: Throw out your business plan, read what disruptive companies are doing, and then brainstorm with your team. From there, start from scratch and rebuild your business plan with change in mind.
- Shake it up: Get everyone to move desks, change the way they work and give your clients something else that shows how your company brings something to the table that no-one else can compete with. Don't allow for employees to get comfortable, because that will create a flow on effect and clients will constantly be reinvigorated and know that if there is something worthwhile and new to bring to the table, your employees will be the first to let them know.
- Drive your business to the next level: Build bigger dreams and work backwards as to how you can help your business achieve these goals. Market your business, train your staff, invest in technology and create a unique point of difference.
Don't wait until January when your competitors already have a head start. Start today. You will be surprised at how well you do compared to your previous years.
