How profitable is your talent?

We all have talents, but some are harder to find than others.

Mine took many years to work out and eventually I was able to turn that talent into a money making enterprise. Luckily for me, my talent is aligned to my passion and everything is pretty much honky dory.

This week, on my return from an overseas holiday, on a boat, I have had an office full of creatives brainstorming viral campaigns for clients at least 12 hours per day.

Great Ideas Come In The Shower

This morning I didn’t want to get out of bed. It’s cold, my bed’s warm and the TV was on.

Eventually after my alarm bell rang for the 9th time, I hopped out of my snuggly bed and headed for the shower as I do 7 mornings a week.

MellissahLast Friday I was kindly invited by one of my best friends to attend the Long Rugby Breast Cancer Charity Lunch held at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney.

There are many things dear to my heart and breast cancer and the effects of it are one of them.

I have a good friend who always talks about ‘living the dream’. He arrives at a friends house, they go “what have you been up to?”, he replies “Living the dream”. Actually, you can pretty much ask him anything and the reply is always the same. Go figure.

I am not known for being overly political but I do resonate with those that are and who stand up for what they believe in.

Inspiring Women I Know – #1

International Women’s Day is upon us and although I don’t necessarily agree that we should have a day that celebrates women alone when there is no day that celebrates men, I am compelled to attend events whereby the keynote speakers are successful women.

What is your vision?

Today I played golf with some amazingly talented and inspirational men and women at the Australian Women’s Open Golf Tournament ProAm at Royal Pines. I say amazing because many of these men and women have achieved great things whether it be with sport, business or the community despite where they live, what backgrounds they come from and how old they are.
