After 8 years experience in tourism and travel, Ms Schoneveld, has joined Marketing Eye to give small and medium sized operators, higher level marketing services in a financial model that works for the industry.
“The tourism and travel industry have not had easy access to senior marketers in the past,” said Ms Schoneveld.
“They have relied heavily on agencies that have varying levels of competency and experience amongst their staff. Now through Marketing Eye, they are able to afford people that have held senior positions in the industry and that can take this experience and utilize it to grow their businesses and enhance brand awareness to stakeholders.
“The tourism and travel industry has been fragmented in the delivery of marketing services and still many companies see marketing as being advertising and PR.”
Small to medium sized operators will benefit from a collaborative approach to their marketing. The development of a marketing strategy that combines their traditional marketing focus points with that of online marketing, brand, sms marketing and relevant customer retention and acquisition programs, is critical to the competitive nature of the industry.
Marketing Eye provides companies with marketing managers that run a company’s marketing department and implement that strategy for a 12-month period.
With in-house expertise in strategy, brand, public relations, web, graphic design and film production, Marketing Eye captures the essence of the companies business plan and delivers marketing strategies that are aligned to business outcomes.
“Julie’s appointment comes as Marketing Eye focuses on the growing and diverse tourism and travel industry,” said Marketing Eye CEO, Mellissah Smith.
“Her skills and experience is invaluable to small to medium sized businesses, and will ensure that the industry gets a much needed boast in terms of consultancy capabilities with relevance to financial contribution.
“Tourism and travel companies looking for added experience in their marketing departments or high-growth strategy development, will see the Marketing Eye marketing manager model as being very relevant.”
Julie Schoneveld has a Business Degree majoring in Marketing and has previously worked at NRMA Travel as the Marketing Manager for Tourism working with accommodation, attractions, and packaged holidays (domestic and international).
