Marketing Eye, a leading national marketing consultancy firm for small to medium sized businesses, has today announced the appointment of former Group Sales Manager for Queensland Newspapers, Nicole Ryan, as the State Manager for Queensland.

The appointment comes as the Queensland Company has experienced a 30% growth in the last 4 months and is on a high growth phase which includes expansion into key regional centres in Queensland.

“Marketing Eye is very pleased to have attracted Nicole Ryan, an established sales and marketing consultant in Queensland to head up Queensland for the company.

“Nicole has extensive experience in building businesses and combined with her sales and marketing background will be instrumental in growing Marketing Eye’s presence in Queensland,” said Marketing Eye CEO, Mellissah Smith.

Marketing Eye works with over 100 small businesses that don’t have an in-house Marketing Manager, but need marketing to grow. By providing small businesses with a dedicated marketing manager with the right skills to increase sales performance and improve brand awareness, businesses owners are able to focus on other areas of the business.

“Small businesses do not have the same advantages as their larger counterparts, but now with Marketing Eye, they can,” confirmed Ms Smith.

“Our marketing managers are experienced and fill a void that hinders small businesses from reaching their potential.”

Marketing Eye Queensland has been managed from Sydney for the past 12 months and with a new State Manager, will focus heavily on small businesses in Brisbane and key regional centres of Cairns, Townsville, Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast.

“Marketing Eye was ahead of the curve when it started by giving small businesses a Marketing Manager that worked in the business, and not as an external consultant – this has created a significant impact on the companies in which we work with.

“Small businesses are more reluctant to hire freelancers who do not have the backup of in-house creative, public relations, web development and production – ensuring that a brand is managed under one roof.

“They are also looking for a more personal approach and someone who is part of the team, rather than someone who just tells them what they should be doing.

“This concept is so well received in the market because it fills the marketing void for small businesses.

“There is no longer an “us” and “them”.”

About the Founder, Mellissah Smith

Mellissah Smith is a serial entrepreneur who started her first business on the Gold Coast when she was just 25 years old. Just 6 years ago, Mellissah saw a niche in the market whereby small businesses were engaging freelancers who were ‘here today’ and ‘gone tomorrow’ in their businesses. This adhoc approach created an issue for small businesses who knew they needed marketing and could not afford the high costs of an agency. Giving small businesses a structured approach and in-house capabilities in all areas of marketing ensured that their entire marketing investment came with ‘no surprises’ at the end of the month, with all services inclusive. Having worked with more than 200 companies in Australia, Marketing Eye is focused on attracting more than 50 new clients to Marketing Eye Queensland over the next 8 months.
