There’s no denying that online shopping is growing at a rapid pace in Australia – just to give you an idea of the scale, in the 12 months to September 2016 Australians spent an estimated $20.8 billion on retail purchases online. If you’re thinking that’s a lot of shoes you’d be correct. But the good news is that $20.8 billion spent online is the equivalent to around 7% of the traditional bricks and mortar retail sector - so whilst online shopping is growing at a fast pace, it is by no means panic stations for traditional retail stores just yet.

I've had a phenomenal start to the new year - by choice. 

I chose to look at 2017, literally through a new set of glasses, and with a mindset that begs for change.

Change is a strange word, because it means so many things to people, and rarely does it mean the same from one person to another.

I'm not one for a party as I quite like my own company and that of my closest friends. Other than the odd glass of champagne, I don't find drinking to be my vice either. So, when it comes to Christmas, if only everyone would agree that all the money involved should go to charity, I would be in my element.

I guess if I posed this question to my team, they would possibly agree, but this year has been a big one and they deserve their moment of letting loose and enjoying each other's company outside of work, celebrating their success.

Lead generation through sharing content on social media has grown in importance over the past few years. Many marketers have caught onto this concept and have used it to the fullest potential by sharing news, blogs, customer service information, and tips...with a twist. The thought up images and carefully curated canva posts that marketers are making are becoming more and more like a subtle sales pitch.
