Marketing Entrepreneurship Business Blog for SMB's

Tag: expansion

I'm embarassed to say that I have let down my readers because I have been so busy working on innovation and developing the Marketing Eye business, that I haven't had a minute to scratch myself. I don't think that I have ever taken so long to write a marketing blog in the entire history of Marketing Eye, and I've missed it as much as you may have.

Marketing Executive Sydney

How would I describe Marketing Eye in a few words? Hard working, innovative, results driven, tech savvy and passionate.

Marketing Eye Sydney is looking for a passionate and innovative individual who is ready to drive change and take their career to the next level. Why are we looking to recruit you? We’re expanding our office and in doing so, we need you.

I'm sitting at the Qantas Lounge at the Melbourne International Airport ready to board another flight to Los Angeles. I am a tad tired. 2.15am wakeup wasn't my best work, but sometimes excitement does get the best of me. Travelling for me, is exciting and part of the bigger adventure. I get to meet people that inspire me, shock me and sometimes join me on my journey as a friend, client or person "I just know".

Meeting people when you are an introvert is completely and utterly out of your comfort zone, and I know the value of being outside your comfort zone. It's one of the best things that can happen, especially if you are an entrepreneur.

The time is nigh.

Imagine the feeling when you just realise that you have been dragging your feet when you should have been sprinting to the finish line? I feel kind of like that with our European expansion and our reluctance to expand into Asia.

I've been in the Netherlands for 4 days and I am mesmerized, as always, with its sheer beauty. From harbour views through to fields of everything imaginable, you watch from the side a sustainable country go about its day on bikes, without seamingly a care in the world.
Never stretch yourself so far that when the rope can't take it any more, it springs back so far that there is far too many creases to fix. The business person who has the most ideas, doesn't always win, unless of course, they have a team of people who have learned that while they may have great ideas, they are terrible at execution.
I'm the person who is always at the office at 7am.

My office in Sydney is all the more special at that time of day as I look at the harbour, soak in the constant flow of trains going through and watch the cars flow to a point where they stop, as traffic becomes jammed as everyone rushes to work at the same time.

What a great start to the year! We have a team that is totally pumped and excited about what the future holds for the company, and I have just come back from a few days looking into the operations of the Vanad Group of companies in the Netherlands.

It's amazing what some companies can do in 10 short years, but more importantly, how they empower their people to produce outstanding results year-on-year, completely on-track to the company's overall mission.

It's time to step it up!

There is so much going on this time of year, it is ridiculous. Usually, I do the smart thing and disappear overseas or head up to the family property in Queensland to hang with my family, but this year, I am staying put... well, for now.

I have so much to do as I have alluded to in previous blogs; Marketing Eye's expansion plans, Licensing the Marketing Eye model, a new technology platform that I have developed and a new tech company that I am about to go into capital raising mode for. On top of that, I have my passion project, The World Incubator, and selfishly a holiday overseas to the snowfields.

The journey that Marketing Eye has taken over the past few years has hit a major milestone and the business is now heading into a future rich with possibility.

This is despite our expansion into the US, which was undertaken with a half-arsed approach; we set up ‘part-time’ and employed a few people who were left to their own devices. After initial training, of course.
