ACCOUNTING FIRM USES WEB 2.0

Leading Accounting Firm, Saber Group, who has recently acquired Damans Accounting and BC Accountants, believes that social networking platforms are the only way Accountants can keep in touch with their clients.

Having recently undergone a branding campaign, Saber Group has established itself as an end-to-end financial services company that is fresh and innovative, a bit different from their bean-counter counterparts.

Marketing Eye was hired to develop Saber Group’s new brand, design new stationery and develop an interactive website that engages clients on multiple levels.

Mellissah Smith, the Chief Executive Officer of Marketing Eye confirms that the website will have links to social networks like Facebook, Myspace and various industry related blogs.

“In addition, the website will have online seminars and a blog, which will be instrumental in the education process for both internal Accountants and clients,” said Ms Smith.

The Saber Group is using education and a fresh approach as its key point of differentiation from other boutique firms.

“We see seminars and training as being pivotal to giving clients the best possible business advice and ensuring that each of our client maximize their financial potential,” said Jenan Thorne, Managing Director, Saber Group.

“Our brand is fresh, professional and innovative – just like every area of our business.”

MY DEPARTURE LOUNGE LAUNCHES

Accounting and financial service professionals now have their very own departure lounge.

Former high profile Deloitte Accountant, Tammy Frame launched My Departure Lounge in July this year with enormous success.

After engaging Marketing Eye to build the company’s brand, develop a website and conduct an international advertising campaign, the company has been going great guns.

“We have already set up office in South Africa and are schedule to conduct a marketing campaign throughout South Africa in November this year,” confirmed Tammy Frame, Managing Director of My Departure Lounge.

“We literally have clients and candidates knocking on our doors as everyone is looking for something new.

“Recruitment and headhunting firms are all providing clients and candidates with the same service – we think it is important to be different and innovative.”

THE FESTIVE SEASON IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER

Whilst Spring Racing Carnival Fever has hit Victoria and marketers are finding ways in which to leverage the largest sporting event in the country, they are also working out how best to connect with their clients over the festive season.

Ways in which you can connect:

  • Invite clients, suppliers and staff early to festive season celebrations
  • Use environmentally friendly invitations and festive season cards
  • Give a cash donation to good causes like the Ozchild (www.ozchild.org.au)
  • Be creative – look outside the box
  • Enjoy the great outdoors and take your celebrations into the fresh summer sunshine (but do remember sun block)
  • Always follow up the event with a personal “Thank You” note, which also acts as another brand reminder.

What not to do:

  • Don’t expect that everyone celebrates Christmas… festive season greetings are politically correct
  • Don’t forget to recognize your staff and clients over this period of time
  • Investigate who else is having events the same day as your company – as you don’t want to be competing where you can avoid it
  • Don’t forget those underprivileged
  • Don’t get too caught up in the parties and forget that January is the time to hit the road running. That means your marketing plan needs to be ready to go.
