Margot Spalding is the co-owner and co director of Jimmy Possum Furniture Pty Ltd, a furniture design and production company. Having left teaching and started a family, Margot established Jimmy Possum Furniture 11 years ago with her husband Alan in a small shed with just one employee. Today, with five of the couple’s seven children playing an integral role in the business, Jimmy Possum Furniture employs around 150 people, supplies furniture to 66 stores across Australia and offers over a thousand products through five own-name retail stores.
